Paper Rex is making a roster change after winning Masters Toronto. Sources confirm that Adrian “invy” Reyes will join the championship squad, replacing Patrick “PatMen” Mendoza for the 2026 season.
Filipino Swap on PRX
PatMen joined Paper Rex last March when the team needed a replacement for longtime Controller Aaron “mindfreak” Leonhart. Now after less than a year, he’s making way for another Filipino player in invy.
The swap keeps PRX’s flexible identity intact. Both players specialize in Controller but can play other roles when needed. PatMen showed his versatility throughout 2025, while invy spent most of his time on Initiators like Sova, Fade, and Gekko during his Team Secret days.
Invy comes from three seasons with Team Secret where success remained frustratingly out of reach. The team consistently finished in the middle or bottom of Pacific standings, never breaking through to become true contenders.
Team Secret’s Struggles
The 2025 season was especially difficult for invy and Team Secret. They placed 9th-12th at Kickoff after losing to Global Esports and Rex Regum Qeon, setting a disappointing tone early.
Stage 1 brought more pain with an 11th-12th finish and just one series win from five matches in the Omega group. Their only bright moment came at the Asian Champions League qualifier for Esports World Cup, where they won two matches before falling in the decisive playoff and missing the Saudi Arabia trip.
Stage 2 repeated the pattern with four losses against one win in group stage. After three years of fighting for relevance in Pacific, invy decided it was time for a fresh start.
Joining Champions
Paper Rex represents everything Team Secret wasn’t. The Singapore-based organization dominated Pacific all year and finally captured their first international trophy at Masters Toronto.
PRX had reached multiple grand finals before, including Champions 2023 where they lost to Evil Geniuses. But Masters Toronto brought redemption as they crushed the competition, dropping only one playoff map on their way to the championship.
Invy joins a roster featuring some of Pacific’s biggest stars including Jinggg, f0rsakeN, something, and d4v41. The pressure to perform at championship level will be intense, but he finally has elite teammates around him.
Paper Rex’s 2026 roster keeps their core championship squad together while adding a hungry player eager to prove himself on the biggest stage.
