What is Flex in Valorant?
Flex is a new cosmetic feature in Valorant, introduced in Season 2025 Act I, allowing players to wield interactive handheld objects during matches. Unlike sprays applied to walls, Flex items are held by agents, and animations can be seen when inspected. Riot Games designed Flex to add personality and expression without impacting gameplay and giving away your position.
How to Equip & Use Flex Items in Valorant (PC & Console)
Equipping a Flex item in Valorant requires accessing your Collection menu and going to the Expressions wheel. The process is easy and similar to how you’d equip sprays. Once equipped, your Flex items will be available on your Expression wheel during matches.
- Open Valorant and go to the Collection tab in the main menu
- Click on the Expressions wheel in the bottom-right corner
- Select the Flex tab at the top of the screen
- Choose which Flex item you want to use
- Hit Equip to assign it to your Expression wheel
How to Use Flex in Valorant
Press T on your keyboard (or Right D-Pad for controller players) to open the Expression wheel, then select your Flex item to show it off during matches. Your agent will temporarily replace their weapon with the selected Flex item, displaying it until you switch back to a weapon or press the Expression button again.
You can equip Flex items anytime during a match, including pre-round, mid-round, or post-round. Unlike knives, Flex items do not affect movement speed. While other players can see your equipped Flex, they cannot view your triggered animations.
Available Flex Items
Valorant currently offers two Flex items that players can obtain through different methods. The first is a free phone Flex given to all players during the feature’s launch, while the second is available exclusively through the Season 2025 Act I Battlepass. Riot Games has confirmed more Flex items will be added in future Battlepasses throughout 2025, giving players more ways to express themselves during matches.
STAT-COM (Free Phone Flex)
The STAT-COM is a handheld phone Flex that displays Brimstone’s face on the screen. This item was automatically added to all players’ collections who logged in during the launch week of the Flex feature in January 2025. As the first Flex item introduced to Valorant, it serves as an introduction to this new cosmetic category and allows all players to experience the feature regardless of whether they’ve purchased premium content.
Stellar Dendrite (Snowflake Flex)
The Stellar Dendrite is a snowflake-themed Flex item available exclusively through the Season 2025 Act I Battlepass. To obtain this item, players must purchase the Battlepass for 1,000 Valorant Points (approximately $10 USD) and progress through the tiers by playing matches and completing challenges. The Stellar Dendrite unlocks at tier 37 of the Battlepass and features more elaborate animations than the free STAT-COM phone when inspected or clicked.
