VALORANT Brings Back Snowball Fight Mode for Christmas 2025

The most chaotic winter tradition in VALORANT is returning. Snowball Fight mode comes back after five years, bringing pure mayhem and holiday fun to the game.

How Snowball Fight Works

This 5v5 team deathmatch strips away all tactical elements. No abilities, no spike planting, just snowball carnage. The first team to reach 50 kills wins the match.

Every player uses the Snowball Launcher, a special weapon that fires one snowball at a time. Each snowball deals 150 damage on direct hit, enough to one-shot any agent. The gun has infinite ammo but requires a short reload between shots.

Matches typically last seven to nine minutes. Players earn 750 XP per game plus a 150 XP bonus for winning. You can pick any agent, but their abilities don’t work in this mode.

Power Orbs Change Everything

Special orbs spawn around the map during matches. Picking one up grants temporary powers that make the chaos even crazier.

Growball makes your snowballs physically larger as they travel through the air, hitting opponents from farther away. Rapid Fire removes the reload entirely and boosts firing speed to 1.667 rounds per second for non-stop snowball spam.

Ricochet lets snowballs bounce off walls and floors, creating wild trick shots around corners. Skates dramatically increases movement speed and jump height, turning you into a flying snowball machine.

Possible Exclusive Reward

When Snowball Fight debuted in 2020, players who completed one match received the exclusive Snow Bro gun buddy. Riot hasn’t confirmed whether a new accessory will reward participants this year, but fans hope for another limited-time cosmetic.

The original gun buddy became a rare collectible since only 2020 players could earn it. A new exclusive reward would give newer players their own special memento from the mode.

Coming Soon This December

Riot hasn’t announced the exact release date yet, but Snowball Fight will definitely arrive during the Christmas season. Players can expect it within the next few days as December continues.

The mode provides a perfect break from competitive stress, letting players enjoy pure chaotic fun during the holiday season without worrying about rank or strategy.
